I don’t know of any classes that offer only xray courses. There are different books you can study. I have several friends that didn’t go to dental assisting school and just used books to teach themselves in order to become certified. I found this website that had a few books you could check out.
I would personally just go to dental assisting school. There are so many things you need to learn that would really benefit you, and if you graduate from an accredited school you start out making more money. Whatever you decide to do, good luck!
