Please if anyone has any connections….please let me know. I have been renting an apt for 8 years and there is alot of second hand smoke that I just can’t deal with anymore. Please HELP!
I am responsible and have good credit. I have been looking for years and cannot find anything withing my budget (max rent $1100)

I made an offer for a 664 sq/ft 1 bedroom condo in Norwalk. Asking price was $239.9K and I got $230. Condo has a pool and no upcoming assesment. I’m going through HUD and getting a smartmove loan (80% @ 5.75 and 20% @ 3). I’m working with the bank and lawyer already. Getting so close and now I am being bombarded by insecurity because of all the news regarding decline in home values, people losing the value on their homes, etc. If I intend to be in this place for the next 5 years, could I possibly lose money? The seller’s bought it for $148K in 2003. What do you think?
